
Hanshi Gregory L. Robinson is a highly accomplished and widely respected martial artist with over six decades of continuous training, advancement, and service. Beginning his journey in San Antonio, Texas in the 1960s, he has developed a deep and diverse foundation across traditional Japanese, Okinawan, Korean, Filipino, and modern combative systems. His career reflects a rare blend of technical mastery, cross‑disciplinary experience, and lifelong dedication to the preservation and advancement of martial arts.
Hanshi Robinson earned his foundational black belt under Professor Carson Hines in the ShoShoRyu, Aikibujitsu, and GoShoJitsuKai systems. His early mastery was recognized internationally through his appointment as Renshi by President Sparaco Betoletti and Soke Robert Clark of the World Jujitsu/Kobudo Organization, along with additional honors from Soke W. Hock Hochheim in Modern Fighting Strategies, American Combat Kempo, and Combat Ju‑Jitsu.
He continued to advance through senior black belt ranks under respected leaders including Grandmaster Lee W. Goodridge, Kyoshi Sean McKeever of AFIMAA, and the leadership of the Aikijubudo Ryu Do system and the Visions International Martial Arts League, where he was appointed Shihan. His technical depth was further recognized in the Zujitsu Martial Arts System and by the International Martial Arts Council of America.
Hanshi Robinson’s training background includes extensive study in ESP (Explosive Speed and Power) under Guro Bill Perino, Kajukenbo under Sifu Jerry Wright, and Comjuka under Sensei George Agee, Jr. He remains an active practitioner at True Force Tae Kwon Do in San Antonio and served as an instructor at the IMAC National Training Camp, contributing his knowledge to practitioners from across the country.
On December 5, 2025, Hanshi Robinson achieved the prestigious rank of 8th Degree Black Belt (Hanshi), awarded by both the World Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do Alliance, True Force International Martial Arts Alliance and the NE‑DU‑U‑KON Tae Karate Kung Fu Federation, with endorsements from Grandmasters Rodney Kauffman, Roger Rayburn, Johnny Thompson, and the Grandmasters Council of The Karate Association.
Hanshi Robinson has been honored with numerous national and international awards, including multiple Hall of Fame inductions, Distinguished Master and Distinguished Grandmaster recognitions, state and world championship titles, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 2025 G.O.A.T. Award from the World Great Martial Artist Organization.
He is an active member of many respected martial arts organizations, including the World Butokukai Federation, True Force International Martial Arts Alliance, World Moo Duk Kwan Alliance, Tang Soo Do Karate Association, Scientific Fighting Congress, AFIMAA, Visions International Martial Arts League, The Karate Association, and the ChunJiDo International Family.
Most notably, Hanshi Robinson serves as an esteemed board member of the International Martial Arts Council of America (IMAC), where he contributes his leadership, technical insight, and decades of experience to one of the most influential governing bodies in the martial arts world.
